Long Bai

Long Bai is a research assistant at Key Laboratory of Network Data Science and Technology, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICTCAS). He has been currently visiting NExT++ Centre, National University of Singapore from Dec. 2023, supervised by Prof. Tat-seng Chua.

Before that, he obtained Ph.D degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in 2023, supervised by Prof. Xueqi Cheng, and obtained bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University in 2016.

His current research focuses on scientific knowledge computing for research agents, including scientific knowledge acquisition, reasoning, and application. He explores how scientific knowledge can be represented, acquired, and continuously accumulated; how existing knowledge can be connected, verified, and synthesized to derive new insights and generate hypotheses; and how knowledge can support research tasks and enable the learning and reuse of research procedures.
